To celebrate 50,000 hits to the site, I am presenting this MP3 recording (full song) of a very rarely heard Clifford T Ward song.
The song has never been recorded by Cliff, and only those who have witnessed James Davey perform at some of the CTW conventions, or purchased his early tape - 'Evening', will have heard this beautiful creation.
Cliff once related the origin of the song:
He had just returned home from a long period of touring, and noticed a
group of invalids camping in a field close to his home. Being aware of
his fame, several of the campers called and asked if Cliff would like to
spend a period with them around the camp-fire one evening. Typical Cliff
happily obliged, and the event inspired him to write - Campers In The
Night . . .
This lovely rendition of the song is that which appears on James Davey's early tape - Evening . . .
