the year, closing only on 1st January, and from 7th January
to 1st February. Then December 24th to 27th.

The Brontë Society The Brontë Society is one of the most important literary societies in the world and has for the past century enjoyed loyal support from Brontë enthusiasts everywhere. It was founded in 1893 to bring closer together all who honoured the Brontë sisters, to act as guardian of the letters, manuscripts and personal belongings acquired for the Museum and to encourage a better understanding and appreciation of the Brontës' lives and works. N.B: The former Brontë Society Transactions has now been re-named Brontë Studies: there are currently three copies published each year, and this will only be supplied to Society members at an additional (discounted) cost (details supplied with membership form).

Students This kind of membership is aimed at students aged between fifteen and eighteen who have recently discovered one or more of the Brontës or who are deepening their existing knowledge and involvement. This does not necessarily mean high school or college students studying for GCSEs or A-levels - or their equivalents in countries other than England and Wales - but it certainly includes them.
